Listening to music in the evening
Regarding the custom that the people had of listening to music at this time (after the destruction of our Temple and its glory), was this from the beginning or retrospectively?

It’s hard to say. Simply put, from the sources it seems to be an afterthought, but the custom of the world is that it was from the beginning.

Does the Rabbi see that it should be defined as a custom to "take a look at the chest of a person who speaks"?
