Midnight – is there such a time?
In our parsha it is said that the plague of Bacchides occurred at midnight. And I woke up to ask, when is ‘midnight’, and after all, every point in time can be divided infinitely, right?
But it led me to ask, if so, it would not be possible to move on to the next moment, since in order to move on to the next moment, one would have to pass an infinite number of moments…
I have no idea about the philosophy of ‘time.’ Could you enlighten me on this subject?

Thank you very much for the answer!
I would like to know: Where can I get information about the concepts you mentioned in your article (‘Discrete point in time’, ‘Timeline’, Infinitesimal sequence’ and more) – My lack of knowledge of the concepts makes it difficult for me to understand what you are saying.
Again, thank you very much!
For that, you need to learn infi (infinitesimal calculus). It's not something you learn on one leg.
Okay. I'll be cheeky and ask the Rabbi, is there a chance to talk to the Rabbi about this somewhere (preferably not on a cell phone)?

A well-known question is when did the plague of the firstborn occur, and there really is no midnight moment. And the well-known answer is that the plague of the firstborn was a death plague, and death does not occur at a specific moment either, but rather they lived until midnight, and from midnight their life ceased.
The matters are presented in the above articles.
