Moshe Kroy
Did the Rabbi see the series ‘The Cursed’?
What does the rabbi say about Moshe Kroy? In general, has the rabbi read his various books? Is it worth investing thought into them? Is he a serious philosopher or just delusional?
I haven’t seen the series and I don’t know what it is. I read Croy’s books like any self-respecting teenager. There are some interesting arguments in them, but I don’t think he’s a philosopher of any importance. He raises questions that bother every teenager, but answers them in a rather childish way.
Thank you [I would recommend that the rabbi watch the third episode of The Accursed]
Which philosopher does the rabbi recommend (besides Kant, Russell, etc.)?
It depends on your interest and skill. Wittgenstein (he's hard), Kripke, and the classics (Descartes, Locke, Leibniz)
Plato?
I personally don't like Greeks, but that's a matter of taste. Although Whitehead already said that all philosophy is notes to Plato, it's better to read him after the notes because it's sharper and more precise than the original.
