New Year

שו”תNew Year
asked 2 years ago

Rabbi, this is the first Rosh Hashanah that I don’t think like before, but like you.
Everything related to the content of the day (judgment, etc.) and therefore all the prayers and thoughts about the day and its implications.
Still, maybe you wrote in the past what kind of content can be cast? How can I feel like I belong in the synagogue (6 hours of prayer)? And more..
Thank you Rabbi.

You mean to say that this is the first New Year’s Eve that you do think. 🙂 I think the length of the prayers is really problematic, but it is also true according to accepted perceptions. I suggest you look for a faster minyan. The work of the day is not to sing prayer songs but to glorify God and strengthen your commitment to His commandments. This is so that from then on you can begin the process of repentance in the ten days of repentance until Yom Kippur. Think about this point and do what you need to. For the hymn time in the synagogue, take a good book with you.
