Obligation to wear blue and tie tassels for soldiers
I tend to believe that a method says that when there is an achievable (reasonable) blue color, it is forbidden to wear a white tzitzit without blue color because it nullifies what was done with the hands.
See the article by Rabbi Shmuel Ariel which says this (as I understand it and if my memory serves me correctly): https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.tekhelet.com/pdf/0976.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjEqaf4gNCPAxVxTkEAHWrULusQFnoECB8QAQ&usg=AOvVaw0ER1iJgmiVxIvH9_SiMGIl
They started tying turbans for soldiers at our yeshiva.
1. What is the Rabbi’s opinion (if he has time to look) on Rabbi Shmuel Ariel’s opinion on the subject?
2. Is it permissible, according to this system, to tie tzitzits only with white for soldiers (I thought I would say that since they are in the IDF, it can be defined as when one cannot afford it and therefore is exempt from wearing a tzitzit. Another thing is to say that they would have gotten a tzitzit in full, and therefore I am not completely blind here)
