Outdated beliefs

Peace, Your Honor,
First of all, I wanted to say thank you for your contribution. I really enjoy reading the things you write and I think there is a lack of rabbis who talk about things in an in-depth and realistic way.
I am writing to understand whether you have written anything in the past about the way of life and the outdated beliefs that most of the religious and even secular public believe in. I am of course talking about all the slogans such as “Everything is for the best”, “What needs to happen is happening”, “The deceased who left prematurely has come into the world and has now completed his role”, and more.
In general, I have developed a kind of theory (which may have been discussed here before), that all of these beliefs probably developed during the time of the Sages, with the aim of helping people live easier lives, in the belief that everything that happens is good for us, no matter what.
My opinion is that, first of all, given the reality of the situation, intervention today is different, and that there are more proven tools for dealing with difficulties in life, instead of saying that “everything is for the best” and “this is what should have happened.”

I didn’t go through all of these beliefs, but in the second book in my trilogy I presented a thin picture, which shovels all this nonsense out.

So if you run out of topics for future columns, I think this could be a great topic 🙂
