Overcoming ‘trouble’ is a very big trouble

Since Israeli and global discourse has recently been flooded with warnings about the looming dangers to the development of democracy, I have devoted quite a bit of thought to the matter, and the following insights have arisen in me:
In the United States, which pretends to represent and even tried to impose its democratic values, blacks were discriminated against under the auspices of democracy, and they are still disadvantaged under the auspices of democracy today. Under the auspices of democracy, one can buy weapons, because lobbying is a legal part of the US democratic system.
Democratic European countries and Britain ruled over other peoples in Africa and Asia, while maintaining democracy internally, and it took bloody wars for these peoples to liberate themselves.
So maybe it’s time to sober up, and instead of swearing allegiance to democracy, find an alternative value – perhaps equality of human value?!
