Pension, provident fund, advanced training, and prohibition of interest.
Hello Rabbi!
I decided to transfer my pension and education funds to a specific fund that I think is preferable. For the first time, I suddenly came across the option of a halakhic track (unfortunately, this track is very far from the form of investment that I desire and believe in). Does the rabbi know the subject? Is the halakhic track really the only option that is halakhically permissible? Are there considerations such as a large loss, etc.?
Thank you very much!
This is a difficult question. Simply put, many tend to be lenient, even though the halachic basis for this is not always clear.
There are permits that banks or limited liability companies do not apply, which are subject to interest or prohibitions in general. There is a debate as to whether such an investment is considered as if you owned the business (and then the offenses are also yours) or not. In many cases, the ownership is by gentiles or in partnership with them. In general, I think that the Michel has something to rely on.
There is a Kosher Investment Appendix from the Badatz, which contains detailed instructions on what to observe. Below is a link to the appendix:

You can create a personally managed provident fund for yourself (as well as further education and perhaps a pension) in which you will manage your money to the best of your discretion while adhering to the halachic restrictions as detailed in the appendix. It is possible to invest, for example, in ETFs according to the appendix, and this is a very common form of investment these days. I personally manage my investments this way. If there is any investment instrument about which you have doubts, you can ask a specific wise person about it.

Thank you very much Rabbi!
Oren Thank you very much to you too, you helped me a lot! I invest in indices only, it turns out that it's really fine… Regarding managing the portfolio personally, it's also very profitable from a financial perspective, I think about it…
