Philosophical default
Hello, Your Honor.
In your book “God Plays Dice,” you explained that evidence for the existence of God exists without relying on tradition, but rather from philosophy. Such evidence (built on the negation of infinite regression) leaves two choices. Either assume the existence of an intelligent designer existing in a dimension different from ours, or continue to explore the dimension of time, for example, and admit to current ignorance.
My question is, is there any additional evidence to tip the scales in favor of the first side, other than, say, intuition?
As I explained there, this ignorance is not “current” but fundamental. We will never be able to present a complete causal chain. Therefore, there is no so-called “God of gaps” here, because it is a gap that cannot be closed by science. In other words, the question is about scientific research and not a question within scientific research, or outside the laws and not within the laws.
