Hello Rabbi
Why do we celebrate Purim?
The classic and accepted reason is that Purim is celebrated as a religious holiday that expresses God’s intervention in history, and God’s salvation of His people and His care for them.
But if we insist that God does not intervene in history , what is the point of celebrating Purim?
If there is still a reason to celebrate because of intervention, why does Independence Day hate Purim ? Why don’t we say on Independence Day (according to the Rabbi) that God intervened in history, but on Purim we do?

Hello Neria.
I think I explained this here somewhere (I expand on this in the trilogy). First, I said that in my opinion, God is slowly withdrawing from history. It is possible that in the past He was more involved. Therefore, on Purim, which has the testimony of a prophetess (Esther) who was there by the hand of God, I am willing to accept that it was done by His hand. Second, all our confessions to God are unnecessary. Why do we focus on Purim in particular? What about the confessions in daily prayer? What about Passover? My argument is that confession is our opportunity to thank Him for creating the world, its laws, and us. After creation, the laws and nature, together with people, do the work, but from our perspective, such “miracles” are an opportunity to return and thank Him for the “miracles” that are with us every day. By the way, for this reason I am completely in favor of saying Hallel on Independence Day, just like on Purim (its call is Halila) and Hanukkah.
By the way, I was thinking of writing a post about exactly this (following a class I gave on the subject last Saturday), but I probably won’t have time. We’ll see.

I understand about Purim.

If I remember correctly, you spoke in one of the first columns on the site, about how there is no connection between religion and Remembrance Day, and that these are two different areas, and therefore there is no reason to say Hallel and designate it as a religious day of remembrance on the part of the event. (Regardless of the fact that Israel's wars, according to the rabbi, are historical phenomena devoid of oversight, and therefore also devoid of miracles.)

Do I remember correctly? If so.. why see a miracle on Independence Day, so that there is an opportunity to thank for your miracle? It's not like Purim that there was an intervention, okay. But Independence Day did not have (according to the rabbi) a miracle or providence, so why did you write that ”for this reason I am in favor of saying Hallel on Independence Day” – for this reason every day is an opportunity to say Hallel – and why not?

Neria, as stated, one does not need a miracle to give thanks. What we experience as a ”miracle” is an opportunity to give thanks for nature.

In my experience, one click on the tab is enough. But if it does not work, keep pressing.
