Question about punctuation marks
(Even Rav said to his enemy, “Briya, I will finish you off, my friend.”)
When there is a list followed by a continuation, I don’t know how to conclude comfortably. For example, in a sentence like:
“June needs two eggs, pudding, rum extract and flour to make a cake.”
It’s noticeable that some punctuation mark is missing between “and flour” and “in order to”, but adding a comma after “and flour” feels a bit strange. While it’s possible to change the sentence structure (to make a Yoni cake you need two eggs, pudding, rum extract and flour) or add words, it’s not always convenient. What do you think?

Apparently, in this case, a hyphen is appropriate, right?
A hyphen is a bit too heavy, just like if the list is short there is no hyphen (Yossi needs two eggs and pudding to make a cake). But each to his own taste.
By the way, the fact that in a list longer than 2 there is no comma before the last element also seems strange to me. Why not write “Here is my list and it has item A, item B, item C, and item D). Especially when each of the elements in the list is long, then adding a comma improves readability. And’ The connection does not contradict the comma.
