Rabbi Jeremiah asked

In one of the Platonic classes, the rabbi said that many times questions in the Gemara are intended to clarify a principle, and they themselves will not really happen, like a rain of wheat, etc.
If so, Rabbi Jeremiah asked, “Is one leg of the chick inside fifty cubits and one outside fifty cubits?” This sounds like a question that clarifies an important principle even though the chances of it happening are zero, and why was it really taken out?
Thank you very much, Your Honor! “Who will not be afraid of the Nigerians who will flee before you?”

The members of the court there apparently understood that he was just asking a trivial question and was not here to clarify a substantive matter. Perhaps his intention was to clarify the matter of the lessons (whether it was a mathematical or a verbal matter), and if so, then the expulsion from the Beit Midrash was their answer to his question. If you want, I’ll arrange for you some Negri Defrezla. 🙂
