Reciting the verses of Kiddush according to the science that the world was not created in six days
Hello Rabbi,
In Kiddush we say:
And the heavens and the earth and all their host were consumed:
And God ended on the seventh day his work which he had made, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made:
And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it he rested from all his work which God created to do.
Likewise, in prayer we say several times that we keep the Sabbath because God rested on it from the creation that lasted six days.
Someone who accepts science and accepts that the world was created through a long evolutionary process, and also believes that the world was created by God who directed the evolutionary process by creating the laws of nature, how should he interpret the above rulings? How should he explain to himself the idea that he is a Sabbath keeper because ‘God rested on the seventh day after the six days of creation of the world’? After all, the idea is simply unacceptable to him.

In the words of Chazal:
The Torah spoke like the language of humans
(according to what was known at the time)
And not really an accurate description of what was in creation
I was always more bothered by all the descriptions in the blessings of K”S.
“Maariv Arabim”, “Arranges the stars in their places in the sky”, “Turns light from darkness and darkness from light, passes day and brings night”.

It should be noted that the description in the Torah that on the first day, independent light was created, and the sun and moon were only created on the fourth day to serve as ’lamps’, was contrary to every existing perception at that time. Everyone saw the sun and moon, the two great celestial bodies, as the most senior in the pantheon of gods, and the Torah demoted them from their greatness, placing them among plants and animals. From the senior gods, the sun and moon became ’lamps’ in a sense.
The ’days’ that the Torah describes are stages. First, the light, which is more spiritual. Then the earth and the water. Then the plants, which have a unique property of growth, then the luminaries, which also have the ability to move, but in a fixed orbit. Next come the animals that have the ability to move freely, and finally – man who is in the image of God and is entrusted with managing the entire system. ‘Days’ According to my proposal, they are ‘stages’

How 1000 generations?
Apparently there were many generations before what is called the creation of the world
And the authors of the Zohar also put their hearts into the matter and wrote in Leviticus 10
that the Holy One, blessed be He, prophesies ancient sons of Adam before the first Adam (the first one created in the image?)
