Recruitment in danger of heresy
Why are we allowed to enlist in the army when there is significant concern about apostasy in religious Zionism in general and in the army, the percentages are rising dramatically!!!
Where does the justification for conscription come from in our situation?
First, you can enlist in some religious framework and then the fear diminishes.
Second, with all due respect to taking care of yourself, there is an obligation to fulfill your civic duties to the public. So if you are worried about the mental state that will arise in you – make sure that it does not happen. No one else should bear the cost for you.
Obviously, this is not an attempt to evade, but today in our public there is a huge amount of people repeating the question: There is no room to say that we are unable to enlist. With all due respect to the IDF (and it has respect), so what about maintaining religiosity?
Yehuda, it has nothing to do with the army. There is no unusual social pressure in the army towards abandonment.
The phenomenon probably would not have decreased if they had gone to study at university or worked outside without serving in the army. This is the age and leaving home. An age when people stop flowing from the power of education at home and choose their own path.
