Rejecting problems

Hello Rabbi
I know you’re not a security person or anything like that, but I wonder if you share my feeling that we are champions in postponing the problems in our country from a security perspective.
The nuclear program was significantly delayed, and that’s nice, but it was only delayed. With Gaza, we were in full swing and we always just did our part, and in the end we got October 7. Don’t you think there’s a very bad pattern here?? In the end, maybe Iran will succeed too.
Do you have an opinion on the matter?

This is a general human tendency. For us, there are much more obvious examples of this phenomenon. For example, the peace with Egypt, which was made to gain time, even though we will most likely pay a heavy price for it in the future because there is really no peace there and the people are very hostile to us. The same is true for Jordan. There is an argument that there is no way to completely solve such problems, so all we can do is buy time. We just need to make sure that we postpone the problem and don’t get into a situation that will be unsolvable in the future.
