Religiosity without God
peace,
Have you read Micah Goodman’s new book ‘Return Without Repentance’? In one of the chapters he tries to argue that the religiosity of Ahad Ha’am or Bialik, who kept Shabbat out of national value (despite not believing in God) – can be seen as a continuation of ‘Judaism’ (despite the difficulty of the matter.
To this end, he brings up several arguments there – have you read it? If so, what do you think?
It’s a bit long, and that’s why it’s hard for me to write about the argument now.
