Hello Rabbi Michi.
I assume you are familiar with the experiment described below. The question is what drives free will. The argument here is that it is not our consciousness, although there are other views today:

Ancient. There is a chapter on this in my books on the science of freedom in which I explain why it is irrelevant. Incidentally, I proposed an experiment there that could test this as best as possible (although I explained there that I think a clear decision in favor of determinism is not possible at all in Libet’s way) and I predicted that it would fail. About a year ago I heard a lecture online by Liad Modrik, who participated in a large experiment that did exactly that, and it turned out that I was right.
