Reserve parking
Hello Rabbi
There is a lack of parking on our street and sometimes couples or children stand in an empty parking space and “save it” for their family’s car to arrive, a matter of 5-15 minutes. Is there a halachic problem with this?
Full disclosure, because I have no influence on others and my wife and I do it too, so I would be happy to find out that the answer is that it is permitted.

Don't you think there's a problem here with respect to the payment that the municipality receives for parking? You're preventing the municipality from receiving payment for the time a person stands there and waits. If you were to pay from the moment you park, the argument falls apart.
In my opinion, no. First, like the parking lot in Indroniya, it is a crime. Second, there is no service here that the municipality provides and does not receive in return. It is a type of tax imposed on those who park. If there is no parking, there is no tax liability. Therefore, in my opinion, those who park and do not pay are not robbers (but rather violate the law of the kingdom or the regulations of the community). The parking arrangements are according to accepted custom and norms, and after that those who park must pay.
Maybe there is a reason for taking a parking space for a family member to take a place for others?
Best regards, Shchel
The problem with seizing for a debtor is that others have rights in the seized property (the borrower owes them money). Here, this is not a vested right, unless the place is vacant and can be used for parking. This is a kind of levy on a find for his friend that his friend bought.
Furthermore, according to some of the first scholars, when the seizing is appointed as a messenger, he can seize even when he owes money to the others.
