Science: absolute truth or theory?

שו”תCategory: Torah and ScienceScience: absolute truth or theory?

Hello, I wanted to know whether science based on calculation, such as the Big Bang, archaeology, evolution, and the like, should be treated as an exact science like history, because in my opinion there is certainly a difference. For example, I have heard this, and for some reason I have seen less reference to this when comparing science based on physical and mathematical experiments to science based on hypotheses, such as the study of fossils, the Big Bang, evolution. Thank you very much.

Too general a question. Every science begins with observations and makes generalizations based on them. In this sense, there is no fundamental difference between evolution and the Big Bang and other fields (do you think history is an exact science?). In fact, these are two very well-founded theories.
