Hello Rabbi,
Regarding inter-class marriages, does the rule “it goes up with him and it doesn’t go down” still apply today?
Is this rule a halakhic prohibition? And if so, is there a halakhic solution to it?

Thank you, so why would the sages say such a thing?
The discussion is only about the change in the husband's status after marriage. They made a contract based on his status then, and now he is rich or poor. What is the ruling on his obligations to the wife? She goes up with him and does not go down with him.
