Some halachic questions
1. Is it permissible to invest in stocks in indices such as the S&P 500 when it is not known which companies the money will be invested in?
2. Is it permissible to create an online advertisement with pictures/videos of women (and is there a difference in this regard between an Israeli audience and an American audience)?
3. Is it permissible to read Shul books/watch the news during the Tisha B’Av fast when it is clear that these are the only things I can do, and avoiding them will lead to great difficulty and idleness?

2. Whenever the issue comes up, I have a hard time finding a definition for ”modesty” it seems very individual and depends on culture and custom. If you listen to mainstream halakhic, modest is when it is difficult to distinguish between a male and a female (sorry for the exaggerated, I hope the point is made… https://www.yeshiva.org.il/midrash/1830) and if you try to go by feeling – that it feels more right – it becomes a completely subjective matter. For example, it is clear to everyone that certain clothing is immodest and it is clear to everyone that other clothing is modest. But the gray area is greater than the extremes.
In fact, how do I know where to draw the line?
Why do you assume there is a line? There is common sense and it depends on the circumstances.
