Sorry, just a reference.
Seeking to understand the subject of regulations and decrees of the Sages from two aspects.
- There are very strange decrees (that a woman should not walk in the market with a child in front of her), with even stranger reasons (due to an incident that happened. So strange that I can’t remember right now whether the prohibition is to walk in front of her or behind her).
- Sage decrees that were somehow lost and Man Decher Shmeihu. Not just the issue of the pairs, where it is not mentioned that they were corrected, but simply the Gemara that they are so and only deals with details, examples, etc. There are actually decrees that were corrected and simply lost (I don’t remember examples right now, but I once made a long list of such things.
- The above goes beyond the issue of whether or not there is a good fortune for the mitzvot, so that the Torah can simply disappear and not be performed (new, tefillin for many, many years – if I understood the plain meaning of things correctly (by the way, I would be happy to refer you to read a little about this issue of the cancellation of the Torah over hundreds of years (at least from the time of the Gam until Rabbi Moshe Mekutzi testified to himself that he had returned many from sin) due to a strange taste in itself (how did they arrive at this???), and even today there are dolls in every Haredi home (yes, some Briskers are picking their noses. Well, really). I mention this because you may have written about this too once.
- In short, I would be happy if there was a ‘key’ to your writing.
- Thank you very much, Vishek (for breaking…)

It is difficult to write an entire essay on decrees here. I don’t remember writing about these aspects.
If there is a specific question you would like to discuss, please bring it up. Preferably one at a time, otherwise it will be difficult to have a discussion.
Decrees for an act that happened, see here many examples and some discussion:

Your question is based on the assumption that the purpose of the decree is to prevent the harm that occurred in that act. But in reality, in most cases, this is not the case, and vice versa: the terminology “because of an act that occurred” indicates this. In some cases, it may be possible to explain it this way, but in my opinion, the more comprehensive way to understand such decrees is that their purpose is to establish in memory and consciousness the act that occurred. But there is really no point in the prohibition that was decreed on its own.
