Does a person who dreams that he is studying Torah fulfill the mitzvah of studying Torah?
No. A sleeping person does not fulfill a mitzvah. Even sleeping in a sukkah must be discussed (this is what determines the permission to remove a sleeping person from the sukkah and lie down in his place so that we can both fulfill the mitzvah).
