peace
Do you think the 7/10 attack was under the personal supervision of God?
Or was it a person’s choice?
On the one hand, they say that the hearts of kings and princes are in the hand of God.
On the other hand, Pharaoh was punished because he did things of his own free will.
And is this said about all decision makers?
thanks

You’re probably not a veteran here. My view is that nothing in the world is done with divine involvement (except perhaps a few sporadic things, and no one can know whether they exist and what they are).

I know but I wanted to understand if there are clear boundaries. Yes.
There is a verse in Proverbs: The heart of a king is like rivers of water, in the hand of a ruler. Hence the saying: The hearts of kings and princes are in the hand of the Lord.
There is a saying here: Their will not be given a choice.
What do you think?

So, I assume you also know my opinion on studying Bible verses.

What does this have to do with things that are explicitly stated. Like the verse, “The hearts of kings and ministers are in the hand of God.” How can we not address the fact that the verse shows that God intervenes/controls the minds of kings and ministers?

I ask to know.
I would be happy if the rabbi could address this.

I didn't see what you thought about learning from verses.
I understand that verses can be interpreted as anyone wishes.
But what did we mean by ”no Bible goes beyond the ordinary”?

Anyone interested can search the website "Learn from the Bible" or something like that.
No scripture is beyond my control, it is simply an interpretive rule. I think it is mainly in the halakhic part of the Bible.
The question about my position is not about this rule but about everything that everyone does when studying the Bible. I will not elaborate further here
