Supreme Being in Philosophy Books
Greetings to the esteemed Rabbi,
Lately I have been feeling a spiritual emotion, a kind of transcendence and a thirst for the sublime. In the past it was quenched by the Ramchal and the Rai’a Kook. Can I find “God’s thought” in the writings of Immanuel Kant? (I know this is a strange question, but it is a serious one)

Hello Shay.
This is not a strange question at all. And it certainly seems serious to me.
I think the answer depends on the definition of what “God’s knowledge” is. You can certainly find a knowledge of the world and the meanings of what is within it in him (I find it there much more than in those you mentioned). But that’s only if general philosophy is considered by you to be God’s knowledge. Perhaps this itself is an important lesson that belongs to God’s knowledge (what is included in this).
On the other hand, if you mean emotion and desires, I don’t know because I don’t have that. Here everyone has their own path and feelings and mental structure. But for me it’s just a fulfillment of satisfactions and doesn’t have much value. Only the cognitive dimension has value. See Column 22 on the website .
