The 16 Personality Types Model
peace,
What do you think about the 16 personality types model (MBTI)?
I took the questionnaire several times, and it turned out (or did it turn out?) that I have the ‘INFJ’ personality type.
After a cursory review of personality, mainly through the sharing of others who have the “same personality type,” I feel unusually identified with the characteristics they share.
A question that connects to the question asked at the beginning of my speech – do you think a question like – “Will personality type XXXX connect with personality type YYYY?” is appropriate?
Or, “What jobs are suitable for personality XXXX?”.
I would add that, to the best of my research, people who engage in science are usually categorized under the personality type ‘INTP’ (logician), but it can be noted that ‘Niels Bohr’ is categorized under the type ‘INFJ’ (at least according to what I’ve read), and this did not prevent him from being a great physicist.
In short, will a person’s personality definition (assuming it is correct) predict their success (to a high degree) in a certain thing?
Thank you very much!
I don’t think I have the authority and knowledge to answer these questions. In general, I have very limited trust in such psychological tests. And it’s certainly not right to take them too seriously and draw conclusions from them about success in various fields of activity and the like. Even if there is something in them, it gives at most a direction reading, if at all.
