The Aquanis argument

שו”תCategory: philosophyThe Aquanis argument

I wanted to ask the rabbi about what I read in his book God Plays Dice.
Regarding Aquinas’ argument, I wanted to know if part of the argument is that what stops the regression is intelligent or conscious, even if not in the religious sense, or if there is another possibility, and then if so, it is not clear why this is a claim that does not have an alternative atheistic response.
PS I wanted to ask on another topic whether the universe is infinite, that is, not the material universe but what is beyond it. So regarding the design argument that if there is order then there is order, doesn’t the fact that the experimental area is infinite destroy all the cards (I didn’t get to the part of the book where you talk about it, if at all, but I find it hard to resist asking this question)
Thank you very much!

I didn’t understand the first question. As for the second, keep reading.

As for the first question, my intention is whether the entity that is the cause of itself, the creator of all beings and that does not need a creator, must be an intelligent and conscious entity, or is there another possibility?

Not necessarily, but very likely. Otherwise, it's a machine programmed to create our universe, and the question of who created it will return.

So if so, why shouldn't I?

Because nothing is certain. This is a guess.
