The beginning of the world
Hello Rabbi, is there any reason outside of the Big Bang to think that the world is not ancient? If so, can the Rabbi say what reason(s) there are? Thank you very much!!!

The world is material and it is unlikely that matter is ancient. Matter is not a “cause of itself,” meaning it has a cause outside of itself.
But even if the world is ancient, there is the principle of sufficient reason, meaning that its unique and rare structure still requires explanation.
