The Chief Rabbinate Elections
I remember that in the previous round of elections for the Chief Rabbinate, the Rabbi spoke out strongly (and rightly so in my opinion) on the subject. I would love to hear his thoughts on the current round – have his views on the subject changed? I especially remember the pamphlet that was passed around in several synagogues last time. I didn’t come across anything similar this time, but maybe that’s just a coincidence.
I did not speak out about the previous elections. The website did not even exist yet. You are probably confused with my manifesto in which I dealt with the (previous) elections for the rabbinate, and even there it was an example of confusion of opinions in the religious public and not a criticism of the rabbinate itself. You can usually find such criticism here on the website and I do not see the point of engaging in it at all. Anyone who does not see this for themselves is blind or corrupt.
Hence, I have no special thoughts about the current round. Simply the continuation of the Chief Rabbinate’s conduct, for which criminal gang is a gentle term. And of course, even now this institution has no guard but a knife. A corrupt and corrupt institution whose sole concern is blasphemy and nothing beyond that. It should have been closed yesterday and all the criminals involved in it should have been imprisoned, along with the politicians who cooperate with them.
