The commandment of love
Hello Rabbi. What do you understand to be the meaning of the commandment to love God? What is the meaning of loving something unknown and undefined? How is the mitzvah fulfilled?

Narmambam at the beginning of Pi Mehalchot Teshuva defines love for God as doing the truth because He is truth. This is not about emotional love.
In the Basic Torah, he writes that the way to love and fear Him is to observe His creatures, which means that His love is based on what He does and not on what He is. For this, one does not need to know Him, but rather to know His actions.
