Hello Rabbi,
I wanted to ask what you think about the disengagement plan in retrospect. Is it a serious mistake in light of October 7th or was it still the right thing to do?
Best regards,

Still, from a rule that was previously clear to be true. Where does this come from? I have written more than once that the question is not defined because disengagement is one step, but a plan should include cases and responses (how one reacts and acts in each situation).

If Netanyahu's direction that Hamas is an asset had not been grasped and he had not been transferring $ to them all the time from Qatar (and what did he personally receive in return?), had not been cultivated, had not been guarding the border and had not been putting the security apparatus to sleep, then to this day the Jews of the encirclement would have had a happy and prosperous life.

UNRWA's funding of terrorism in huge amounts is many times more enormous, and much more disturbing than the damage done by Qatari money, and not that I justify it. Nor am I knowledgeable about the subject, as for UNRWA, you can read about it.

You can find an article here that presents the arguments for both sides (perhaps a bit superficial, but at least balanced):
