The Divine Will
Hello Rabbi.
The Aristotelian view is well known that God has no will, because will indicates lack, and God is a perfect being. Hence, God has no will.
I saw that you wrote that you address this issue in columns 120-122. I read those columns and it didn’t seem like there was any such reference there.
I wanted to ask if there are other places where you deal with this, or if you could answer this briefly?
I already told you that I addressed this there. My argument there is that for a person to have a will does not indicate an interest, that is, a lack. It’s all written there. You may disagree, but I’ve addressed it again and again and I see no point in wasting our time over and over again on the same thing. I won’t answer any more.
