The meaning of the term “Divrei Sofrim” in Rambam

There is some myth that says that there is a difference in Maimonides’ language between “Drabnan” and “Divrei Soferim.” This is an invention that has no basis. It is simply a poor translation from the Arabic. As for his actual classification between Drabnan and Dauraita, see the book Ruach Ha-Mishpat and the book Yishlach Sharshiyo in the article on the second root.
