The one who recovers after an accident

שו”תCategory: Talmudic studyThe one who recovers after an accident

To the Honorable Maran Gaon Hadir Shlita,
One day,
A person who had a car accident (serious, in a neighborhood in the city) and survived, the accident was caused by him being distracted from the journey while talking on a cell phone. Is it necessary to recite the blessing of the redeemer? The basis for doubt is the opinion of Maran Rabbeinu Chida Zia (Berkei Rit, 3) that in a danger into which a person has put himself, the LTC is required to recite the blessing of the redeemer. A person who did not pay off a debt and went to prison does not recite the blessing when he gets out, or is it not like a fool who is unaware of the dangers involved?
We would be happy if Yair enlightened us with the light of his Torah,
Eagerly awaiting his response.

I don’t see any reason for some. And in many cases, people are in accidents because of various negligences.
