The Rabbi’s Opinion on the Teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov
peace,
What does the Rabbi think about Rabbi Nachman of Breslov?
I like him, but I’m afraid to learn from his thoughts (or feelings?), because I don’t know whether his words make sense and there’s something to learn from him, or if he’s just bringing existential poetry.
I don’t understand this kind of question. Try it and enjoy it. If you see logic in things and accept them – you will accept them, and if not – no. What’s the point of discussing a priori whether to learn from someone and whether their words make sense? You seem to assume that the Rabbi is a source of authority and only then is there room for the question of whether to accept his words as is just because he said them. But I don’t suggest attributing this to anyone (and not just the Rabbi). As for the question itself, these texts don’t really speak to me, but it could certainly be a personal matter.
Or does he assume that the rabbi is a source of authority?
