The status of women in the religious world
I grew up in a Haredi home, now I am secular. In terms of decision-making and earning a living, my mother was pretty much equal to my father, but in everything related to Torah education, there was a kind of absolute prohibition on both the girls and the mother to study and teach and even approach Torah issues. You wanted to ask whether, from a Torah halachic and Torah perspective, since today women already earn a living, study and are in a pretty equal position to men, isn’t it time for Haredi and even religious society to wake up and start being more egalitarian in the area of Torah education?
