Tithing of capital gains
Hello Rabbi Michael,
I wanted to ask you whether one should set aside a tithe from capital gains on the stock market, for example, and if so, is it correct to remove the inflation losses from them and set aside only from the real profit?

It is difficult to answer this in a clear halakhic way. Even those who believe that it is, of course, only from the real profit (as of the time the profit came into you, not the time of the provision). There are opinions that it is not, because the profit is made from money from wealth. There is certainly room for leniency.
