To interpret differently

When you come to the conclusion that God does not control actions that depend on human choice, do you have to try to interpret differently the sources of Chazal in which active providence is seen? Isn’t it more effective and honest to say, “It’s true that they thought that God controls everything, but it was a false belief that has no basis after a logical analysis of the 21st century, they were simply wrong and it’s not a big deal what happened”?
