Trust the rabbi’s judgment and honesty.
The rabbi I ask about the laws of washing hands, meat and milk, and the laws of Shabbat, etc., is in favor of voting for parties that support bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in leading the people.
And his excuses and arguments with him.
I asked: Can his judgment and integrity be trusted when he messes up on such an important issue?
Both in Halacha, in guidance for life, and in faith?
Ask him what he thinks is the reason for his thinking that way, and if his arguments are reasonable, even if you don’t agree with them, I see no reason to doubt his judgment. If his considerations are crooked, logically or morally, I would be wary of trusting him. If the rabbi resembles an angel of the Lord of hosts in your eyes – receive Torah from him.
