What is the law?
Hello Rabbi.
- Is it permissible for men and women to pray together, without a partition, in a mixed congregation?
- Assuming the answer to 1 is yes. What about the women’s singing playing in the background?
- Can a woman enter the Torah? And what is the ruling regarding the blessing [after all, this is a positive commandment that the time has come for (Talmud Torah) and is exempt] for a Sephardi woman?
- Can a woman teach a Torah lesson in a synagogue?

- Make a habit of not doing this. There is no prohibition from the main point of the law, except in a situation where the women are not modest and then you pray facing the pubic area.
- In my opinion, there is no problem with women singing like this, for several reasons: it is together with men and there are many more than just Teri Kelley here. In the Beit HaN, when singing prayers, the urge does not seem to be aroused (and not only in the Beit HaN). When the women are not seen, there is also a place to allow listening.
- According to the Talmud, a woman is allowed to ascend to the number of seven called. But they said not to do so out of respect for the public. In my opinion, today there is no problem of public respect for a woman ascending to the Torah.
- Absolutely. Why not?!
