Where is the sector derived from?

peace.
I asked about the question of the sectors that exist in Israeli public life, whether their entire essence is the mechanism for preservation and restraint in the face of the identity collapse created by the West (and therefore it is a mosaic of ideas that arose, first of all, for reasons that are historical, social, psychological, and due to the inclinations of the heart) or whether it is an essential infrastructure that accompanies the Jewish people in their multiple and perhaps justified divisions. (My question does not discuss the sectoral codes/slang/dress, etc.)
Thank you for your consideration and valuable time.

You present things as if there are two dichotomous options here. It is clear that this is not just about standing up to the West, but also to other things. And on all fronts, there is both this and that in every sector, and in every sector this in a different dose, and in every sub-sector this is different compared to other sub-sectors in the same sector. How do you expect any answer to such a general and vague question?

Expanding the nature of the question (and correcting it) does not remove the need to answer even slightly.

The questioner – Prof’ Danny Gutwein has a historical-political explanation for the formation of the sectors in Israel and their power in Israel.
For example: ‘The Privatization Revolution and the Construction of the Contrast between Judaism and Democracy in Israel’, available for free online.
