Why did God create the world?

שו”תCategory: faithWhy did God create the world?
asked 1 year ago

peace,
I thought about the meaning of the creation of the world and came to the conclusion that I don’t really understand why the world was created. When I was a little girl, they explained to us that God was alone in the world and therefore wanted to create angels and humans. When I grew up a little more, they told us that God wants to do good and that He needs humans to have someone to do good to and reward, and therefore He gave the Torah and the commandments. But looking at these reasons now, they still sound like such immature and naive reasons… So the question really is why did God create the world in the first place? What is the “concept” of this whole story?

First of all, where does the pretense of understanding why and for what purpose He created the world come from? Will the axe boast over the hewer?! But you can find a specific suggestion in column 170.

What a condescending and stupid answer you received and I regret it dear Jewess…. The truth is simple.
We do not know if God exists.
Yes, we understand with our minds that it is impossible for matter to be created from a vacuum, and whether it is God or something else, something else is also the product of something prior to it, and therefore, logically at least, it is clear that there is something that is above the logic that is clear to humans, by the way, this does not contradict the fact that God exists, but what created him? I do not accept the statement that he never existed, since I cannot grasp it in my head, and I still understand that I cannot grasp in my mind everything that I do not understand, and hence the reason to enjoy and ponder the thought of the unknown... More important than faith and tradition, this is a way of life, and if you do not wish your son to marry a Sinai or an Ethiopian, then humanity still has a long way to go until it reaches some kind of perfection... And indeed, the wise men of atheism will say that racism stems from survival, and indeed this is in line with human psychology, but it is still possible to remember Adam and Eve and the source of all matter... No one I know has a clear answer, but you will understand that the real concept is your happiness in your life, and not what is written in any book. This is how Moses understood it, who saw nature and from which he understood the world. The whole thing... the hint is to connect with nature and go on a personal run that has nothing to do with your beloved family... just love.

Wow, what an impressive night of words. If only the words and sentences were connected to some coherent meaning, I'm sure there would be sublime words of wisdom revealed here.
