Women’s poetry

Hello.

What do you think about hearing women sing? Is there a difference between hearing it from a device without seeing it and hearing it “live” (for example, at a concert)?

If there is a complete prohibition, what is its origin?
Thank you in advance, good evening.

See the brief reference here:
פסיקת הלכה בשואה ומשמעותה לדורות
In general, I don’t think it’s strictly forbidden. If there’s something that provokes thought, it should be forbidden. But a performance by a solid singer, and certainly not a live performance and certainly not on the radio, there’s room for it to be permitted. The web is full of discussions about this, and you can find the sources there.
