Wonder about compassion

Hey Miki
A few days ago, while riding my imaginary “Rocinante” to continue repairing the world, I thought about the concept of compassion, and it suddenly occurred to me that in the Bible, compassion is mentioned once in a positive context – when Pharaoh’s daughter finds Moses in the ark. And twice more in a negative context [unless I’m mistaken]: King Saul’s compassion for Agag, and for example the sheep in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
I checked what Google has to say about compassion and Judaism. And there’s literally nothing. I’m curious to know what your insights are on the subject.
Happy holidays

Hello A. I have no special insight, and I don’t think “Judaism” (what is it?) has anything to say about compassion beyond what any sane person understands. It’s good to have compassion for people, but there are situations where compassion can lead to bad things. I guess I haven’t told you much. By the way, I think the more common term is rachamim (meaning compassion). Ready for joy,
