Also, are there any rabbis whose rulings you recommend following and studying books in these generations?

I’ve already been asked and I have nothing to answer. It’s worth studying everyone. Each one has something to say to them. When it comes to the greats of the generation, it’s about leadership, not scholarly prominence. I don’t recommend following anyone’s ruling. Whoever is most offended should rule for himself. Whoever is not – should choose a rabbi to his heart’s content.

If you mean spiritual leadership (as I defined it), then there is none. The great scholars – maybe there is. I haven't checked. Why is that interesting?
