Zionism and Judaism

שו”תCategory: generalZionism and Judaism
asked 1 year ago

Hello Rabbi, does the Rabbi define himself as a Zionist?
If so, why? Is there a certain limit to devotion to the state?
And in general, what is the Rabbi’s view of the *State* of Israel? After all, there is an almost completely secular state here that is ultimately not the vision of the prophets. What are the chances that this is the beginning of the redemption that the prophets spoke about? Are Rabbi Kook zt”l and his disciples surely right when they say that the State of Israel is the “beginning of redemption”?
I would be happy for sources.

What sources? The angel Gabriel? I am definitely a Zionist. I didn’t understand the border question. Either way, it’s too general. So what if she is secular? I have no idea about startups and startups and other empty slogans that no one will know anything about anytime soon.

Mikhi, you claim that you are a "definite Zionist". If you were born in America, would you have immigrated to Israel?

I don't know. An unspecified hypothetical question.

It seems to me that he was trying to ask whether you see value in living in Israel, such that you would expect a Jew born and raised abroad to immigrate to Israel, or whether since there is no obligation/commandment/value to do so, there is no reason to demand/expect it from a Jew.

There is definitely value in that. Who said there isn't?
