Question on the right track
The Path of Righteousness writes in its opening that in addition to studying Halacha, one should also study matters of morality and fear of God, since they are also wisdom, and these things are well-known. He adds that due to the lack of study of matters of work, it is also found to be lacking among scholars, because they do not devote time to studying it.
On the other hand, he writes in the same introduction that anyone who reads his book will realize that there is nothing new in it, but rather that the benefit of the book lies in repeating it.
I find it difficult to accept his words, that if matters of awe indeed merit study, there would have to be innovations in the book that are unknown to most scholars, since they do not deal with matters of awe.
I thought he might be modest, and there are positions and innovations in his book, but I get the impression that he is honest, and in my humble opinion there is not much new in the Yasharim line.
