Hello Rabbi,
Are there marriages that can be performed without witnesses? I guess I want to say yes, but I've always heard that two witnesses are needed for the marriage to be valid.

What is the point of this opinion? There is no sanctification without witnesses, because they not only constitute evidence of the act but also part of the fulfillment of the thing.
