Acceptance of the nation. and rules of jurisprudence
Hello Rabbi,
I wanted to know:
- Is there another binding halachic document on the level of the Talmud, besides the Talmud?
- What is the validity of the obligation to obey the Gershom Darbanu boycott? And is there a difference between the denominations?
- What is the validity of the obligation to obey the will of Rabbi Yehuda the Chasid? And who is obligated to it, if at all?
- I understood from several places in your writings that there was no real acceptance of the Shulchan Aruch. I asked: Should his rulings be given more consideration than other poskim?
- Continuing with 4, on a subject I have not studied, should one follow the default Shulchan Aruch, or can one rule as the next rabbi approaches?
- In the dozens of places where the Shulchan Aruch ruled according to the Zohar and against the Pasha (he listed them in the book Mena’ah Rashbi Mena’ah 112, which I do not currently have), is it possible/must the Talmud be restored to its former glory, and to rule according to the Pasha?
Thank you very much, Rabbi, for all the fascinating posts, and the lessons on YouTube, and for all the responses on the site. Not at all obvious. A huge thank you

- not.
- This is an accepted and binding boycott. Communities that have not accepted it are of course not bound. Furthermore, its validity expired after a thousand years, but the sages of this generation decided to continue it.
- This has no validity.
- Absolutely yes. There is acceptance of the Shulchan Arbiter not as an absolute authority but as a significant authority. That is how it should be treated.
- Absolutely yes. If you don’t have a position and there is a statement in the Shulchan Arba, you should follow it.
- If you think Zohar has no status, you have the right to disobey his orders.

6. Even someone who gives the Zohar status, how can he give it a status that is higher than the Talmud and contradict the words of the Talmud (when their words contradict each other)?
