Hello Rabbi!
To this day, I have voted for Torah Judaism and I am considering voting for the Zehut party, but I have my doubts.
In the current situation where there is no freedom in the country, and each side is trying to impose its opinion on the other side, both religiously and economically, I think there is no choice and religious parties must (for political reasons) fight for the status quo, and be elbowed in line for the budget.
On the other hand, from a fundamental point of view, I think there is no place for a religious party at all because it is appropriate for there to be a free country here where I do not have to pay tax money for research in the humanities and culture that is not mine, and also no one else should contribute to the things I believe in, and also in the matter of forcing everyone to do as they wish and understand without forcing one on the other.
Should I choose the existing reality that will most likely stay with us for a long time (even if they do pass the threshold, how much influence can they already have…) or according to the reality that should have existed.
Thank you very much!

It’s hard for me to answer this question. According to Kant’s categorical imperative, you are supposed to vote for what is true for you regardless of the results. Still, it’s hard to completely rule out tactical considerations. The question you will determine is how serious and acute you think the immediate results in the current situation are. Beyond that, don’t forget that your single vote is meaningless and impactless anyway, and therefore you won’t prevent the results one way or the other. Therefore, I think as a rule of thumb, it’s more correct to vote for the party you believe in. As an aside, voting for the Zehut party is a waste of a vote, regardless of your question, because in my opinion they have no chance of passing the threshold. Although I myself am considering voting for them anyway (Kant, etc.).
